Card Printing

August 20th, 2008 by BusinessCard World

There are so many card printing products available to the humble marketer today.  Products such as the ubiquotous Business Card. Or the Bookmark!  Or even the Postcard.

The trick to it, is trying to figure out the fitness-to-purpose.  Should you use a bookmark to market a fitness centre?  Maybe not? Some products such as postcards, however, can be quite industry-independent. Meaning you can do them for just about any business!

So have a good think about which type of card printing product is suitable and then go for it!

I’m gonna be talking about some cool stuff in relation to business cards.  Hopefully you’ll get some great tips from me and will be able to improve your business card efforts!

I know business cards, so you’re in my world now! (ha ha. OK , lame)

Ok, let’s kick it off with a tip, shall we?  How much information do you normally put on your cards?  Are you trying to cram all the information possible on there?  Well if you are, then you should think carefully about your target audience.

Are you trying to sell life insurance to elderly people? You know their eyesight aint that great anymore right?  They hate to put their glasses on to just read something.  So limit what you put on your card and keep your details nice and big.

Do you really think they’re going to want to email you? Most likely they want to call you and talk to a real human. So make your phone number nice and big and easy to read. Even ridiculously big.  They’ll appreciate it - and it will show that you are accomodating to their needs.

There are plenty of other examples. Perhaps you’re marketing to a young crowd. They’re going to want your email, web address, Jabber ID and perhaps your Skype ID. They probably don’t even have a fax, so why whack it on there?
